Why do I get a weaker signal on my phone indoors?
Many factors can cause a weak cell phone signal when you move indoors including building materials such as wood and concrete, moving underground, etc. The longer the distance a cell phone signal has to travel, and the more things it has to travel through, the weaker it is going to be. A weak signal will ultimately lead to less reception on your phone or “dead zones,” where calls are dropped or aren’t possible at all. There is really nothing you can do to prevent having this weak signal indoors unless you have a device that can bring the strong signal you receive outside, inside to you.

What is the difference between a repeater and a booster?
A repeater creates a coverage zone in a large area: a room, a floor, a whole building, and it does so wirelessly. A repeater is ideal for the home, the office or other larger areas.
A booster on the other hand, creates a much smaller coverage zone, but one which is equally effective. As well, boosters connect directly to your cell phone. Their lightweight and compact design makes them ideal for use in cars and other vehicles. These devices are also commonly called "cell phone amplifiers".

Can a repeater or booster improve my cell phone's battery life?
Actually, it can! Signal Aid repeaters manage the power of the signal that comes in to your cell phone. When 4 bars of coverage will provide you with the same call quality as 5, why use the extra power and drain your phone's battery? Signal Aid repeaters reduce power when there’s too much coming in from the base station or too much being emitted by your cell phone which extends the battery life of your mobile device.

Where should I place my repeater and antennas?
How and where you place your repeaters and antennas can make a big difference in the coverage zone you are able to create. Generally, you want to place your antennas in the highest, most open area possible to increase the strength of the signal that they will be receiving, which is in turn transferred to your repeater and to your mobile phone.
